BREATHE FOR MOROCCO
This Breathwork session holds a new and meaningful purpose - to extend our love and support to Morocco in the wake of the recent earthquake. 🙌🏻 This session comes to fruition as a result of my deep connection to Morocco, and I'm honored to have received guidance from my dear friend Kenza Mekouar, a pioneer in Breathwork and Yoga in Morocco. In a world that at times overlooks the incredible strength of unity, let us gather to breathe life into a brighter future for Morocco. Our breath possesses the transformative power to uplift not only our own spirits but also the lives of those affected by this disaster. Every contribution made during this session will be directed to the El Baraka Angels Association, a Moroccan non-profit organization presided by Selma Zine that exists since 2013. Your donations will be used to provide emergency assistance to people in distress, distribute food aid and help rebuild schools in areas severely affected by the earthquake. We hope that you will feel compelled to help as we Breathe together for Morocco. Blessings…

THEME OF THE DAY : “BREATHWORK TO GET MOTIVATED”
“The only impossible journey is the one you never begin” – Tony Robbins
Are you having a hard time getting motivated after the summer break? Do you want to find your drive and excitement again for the things you need to do? In the bustling month of September, when the vacation vibes start to fade and the need for renewed focus arises, this "Breathwork to Get Motivated" class offers a refreshing opportunity to reconnect with your inner drive and harness the power of your breath.
In this transformative session, we’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery through Breathwork, Reiki, coaching and journaling. Through deep, conscious breaths, you’ll learn to unlock hidden reserves of motivation within yourself, release stagnant energy, clear mental blocks, and tap into a renewed sense of purpose. Whether you want motivation for your own goals, work projects, or just a new beginning, this experience will help you unleash your true potential.
Don't let the low energy after summer bring you down. Reserve your spot and start a transformative journey to unlock your full potential. Your motivated and inspired self is ready to shine!
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION :
I'll introduce the theme of the day through seated meditation, connecting you to your breath and deep Reiki healing energy. After pulling a Tarot card, you'll have time to free-flow write using prompts related to the theme. Free writing allows reflection, emotional processing, and unlocking creativity without worrying about grammar or structure. This helps bridge the conscious and unconscious minds before the Breathwork session.
I'll then explain the Breathwork technique with humor and scientific facts, emphasizing the importance of correct breathing. If you're already experienced in Breathwork, you can continue writing, meditating, or rest.
Finally, we'll begin the 75-minute Breathwork session, taking you on a transformative journey with uplifting music, inspiring words, Reiki, and your breath. This session is divided into three parts.
Meditation : 10-minutes of conscious nose breathing to prepare you for the Breathwork and to anchor the theme.
Breathwork : 30-minutes of active Two-Stage Pranayama mouth Breathwork to take you on a deeper dive into your subconsciousness.
Integration : 30-minutes of natural nose breathing as you recover and integrate the experience.
We’ll conclude the session with a final intention-setting meditation for the week ahead of you, and I’ll be around to answer questions for anyone who wants to stay for half an hour of questions and answers.
HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF :
Wear comfortable and warm clothing (socks and sweater). You might get cold during Breathwork.
Bring a diary and pen. Buy yourself a fresh and pretty Breath Diary for all these classes.
Find a comfortable place to lie down : yoga mat, couch, bed.
Prepare earphones, an eye mask, cushions for under your knees, a blanket to cover you.
Create a cozy ambiance such as incense or candles.
Make sure you have good wifi and a charger.
It’s better - but not required - to use a computer so you can have your camera aimed at your body during Breathwork.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW :
The time indicated is Paris time CET.
This workshop is in English and French. I translate back and forth between the two languages, so don't worry if you don't understand one!
Beginners and experts are welcome!
If you’re more than one person, please sign up individually.
Registration closes at 18h55 CET.
All reservations are final. No refund at any time for this class.
Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of time so I can say hi and don't plan anything afterwards (sometimes I go a little over schedule, especially if you want to stay for Q&A).
This class will be recorded and you’ll receive the downloadable replay the next day. You can keep it for LIFE.
Breathwork is most effective on an empty stomach, so it’s best to not eat up to 2-hours beforehand.
Go peepee ahead of time.
Yes, you can do Breathwork if you have your period. :)
Breathwork is not recommended for certain people, see below.
Breathwork is purely experiential, and no two sessions are alike. So keep coming back! The more you do, the more you’ll see positive results in your life.
LET’S BOND AS A GROUP!
Arrive early onto the Zoom call. Do not come late, it disrupts the group and especially me.
I’ll check you in.
Say hi to the others!
Keep your cameras on unless you don’t have good wifi. There’s absolutely no judgment or comparison allowed in The Breathe in Paris community, so just show up and be yourself!
Please change your name on your screen to your first and last name. Click onto the screen, go to Participants, find your name, click More, Rename. This makes it more personal and that way I know who you are (you’re not an “iPhone”).
Stay for the 30-minute “after-party” Q&A session at the end! You can turn off your cameras if that makes you feel more comfortable. This time is a great way to hear about other people’s experiences or to share your own. I’m here for you and there’s no judgment!
WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is a powerful technique for exploration, discovery, healing, and personal growth. The breathing technique in The Breathe in Paris Method is called Two-Stage Pranayama and consists of two inhales and one exhale, all through the mouth. This circular connected breathing - which lasts a maximum of 30 minutes - is done lying down, with eyes closed, while being guided by my voice and inspiring music. It’s followed by approximately 20-minutes of relaxation and recovery called “Integration” where you go back to a natural nose breath and the body returns to its normal state. The deep breathing leads to a change in the proportions of gases in the blood : increasing the levels of oxygen and decreasing the levels of carbon dioxide. This causes a controlled and voluntary hyperventilation that naturally induces an altered state of consciousness to release deep-seated emotions. It’s common for people to scream, cry, laugh hysterically, but also to have an intense physical experience where they might feel tingling, cramping, shivering, and even muscle spasms. All these events are normal and necessary for the release of emotions. Many people often experience a state of well-being, calm, and clarity afterwards. A single session is sometimes enough to create a significant change, but a regular Breathwork practice can have huge benefits in helping to overcome depression, managing addiction, connecting to the soul, improving sleep, boosting confidence, and reducing stress.
BREATHWORK IS NOT ADVISED FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE :
It is important to know that Breathwork is not relaxation, but a physical, mental and emotional challenge. Please note that if you have history of cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, retinal detachment, severe mental illness, seizures, advanced osteoporosis, recent major physical injury or surgery, asthma (bring your inhaler) or if you are pregnant that could be exacerbated by these intense breathing practices. It is advised that you DO NOT ATTEMPT this style of Pranayama breathing. Ask your doctor or contact me directly susan@susanoubari.com.
