Breathe in Paris® is a holistic method founded by Susan Oubari based on four pillars:
Guided Meditations, Reiki treatments, Spiritual Coaching and Breathwork.
Breathe in Paris® is a growing community of like-minded people from all walks of life. All ages.
All nationalities. All the same dream: to live better lives.
In 2018, after almost a decade of working one-on-one with private clients all over the world as a Coach and Reiki Master, I felt frustrated that I couldn't connect with more people at once. It was time for me to take my practice to the next level : teach group classes.
Where? In Paris!
And Breathe in Paris® was born… in the city of love, the city of lights, the city of emotions. My beloved Paris that welcomed me in 1990 when I came here to study fashion. Paris, where I gave birth to my daughter, raised my children and had a glamorous career. Paris, a city oozing with history, museums, art, haute cuisine, fashion and culture. Paris, under an umbrella. Paris, on a terrace in the sun. Paris, with its wars, protests and strikes. French perfumes, freshly baked bread… a smelly metro. My love story with moody Paris has lasted a lifetime. I can’t help myself. I’m pulled in, again and again. Paris represents the wave of emotions that make us all human. And Breathe in Paris® is exactly about that: about taking a deep dive into our own sea of emotions, memories… our history, our underworld, our roots… to be pulled in, again and again, to find our true essence.
The Breathe in Paris® Mission
My mission is to bring Breathwork to France and to share the special healing method with the French. In the summer of 2018, I began by teaching free classes in parks all over Paris. As the trend caught on, I was soon leading large in-person workshops in Parisian yoga clubs and luxury gyms, notably at Le Centre Element and L’Usine Club. I continued to see private clients for one-on-one sessions based on the same four pillars. When the coronavirus pandemic erupted in March 2020, I quickly had to change the way I taught. As with any life challenge, I saw it as a personal growth opportunity. I pivoted my business digitally and today my sessions are no longer limited to France. I have students joining my online Breathe in Paris® classes from all over the world… Egypt, Chile, USA, Lebanon, Morocco, South Africa, Switzerland.
With Breathe in Paris®, my goal is to teach you how to breathe with purpose. I offer a safe space where you feel comfortable and where you can challenge yourself to breathe in new ways and to ask yourself some tough questions. Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced Breathworker, I hope my classes encourage more awareness so you can connect more mindfully with yourself, others around you and your environment.

To face your fears and release. You’re not alone and you’re ready.
To re-connect with your body, your soul, your breath through mindfulness meditation and the active breathing of Breathwork. It feels good to disconnect from your phone, your brain and your ego.
There’s something very powerful about being in a group setting and feeding off the energy of those around you - whether it’s in-person or even online. But if you feel overwhelmed about being in a group, come see me for a one-on-one session first.

A Typical Class
My 2½ to 3-hour Breathe in Paris® workshops are taught in French or English and include Breathwork mixed with Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki treatments, and Spiritual Coaching. I begin calmly with meditations, guided breathing exercises, discussions around the importance of breathing correctly, a central ‘theme-of-the-day’ and sometimes journaling. I then explain the breathing technique and what to expect physically, mentally and emotionally.
You’ll be lying on the floor with a blanket covering you (the body temperature can fluctuate wildly during Breathwork) and an eye mask to give you more privacy and to block out any light. I’ll begin the music and within minutes of you starting the Two-Stage Pranayama breathing through the mouth, you’ll feel the energy in your body and in the room increase right away.
It takes determination and willpower to breathe continuously and steadily through your mouth for 23-30 minutes. The experience can result in an intense physical, mental and emotional release. So, my job is to inspire you, to hold your space and to take you on a guided journey… all set to uplifting music and with Reiki healing if you want it. Both the music and my voice level rise considerably during the active breathing. Each unique playlist is created by me, and tried out during my own personal Breathwork session ahead of time.
Once the first part of the breathing technique is finished, the music slows down, my voice fades away and I’ll continue giving you a Reiki treatment as your body relaxes and recharges for 10-15 minutes. For all you yogis out there, this can be compared to Shavasana. The energy settles. It’s the magical moment where you tap into the universal flow of energy. So much happens here. Your psyche, intellect and ego melt away to reveal your truth, awaken your ability to move into your core and activate a deeper understanding of yourself.
There are no pre-requisites for attending a Breathe in Paris® Breathwork session, but since this Breathwork practice is equivalent to a high intensity workout, it’s not advised for everyone.

What’s the Experience Like?
Breathwork is purely experiential and no two sessions are alike. The energy is different, the music is different, your mood is different. Each experience you’ll have will be a new one. That’s why people keep coming back. Because they’re curious. Curious to see what they’ll learn, to see what will show up, see what they can let go of. And also because, over time, they’re seeing positive changes in their lives. The more Breathwork you do, the more your life will change. Be prepared for some big physical and emotional shifts.

These Breathe in Paris® sessions are great opportunities for exploration, discovery, and personal growth. Working with the breath enables you to take better care of yourself and release beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. Most people leave Breathwork sessions feeling clearer, calmer, more content and relaxed.
