Learn more about the power of your breath and discover the magic of Breathwork at L’Usine Saint-Lazare, in the heart of Paris. Whether you’re a member of L’Usine or not, whether you’ve ever taken Breathwork in your life, everyone is welcome! Before the session even non-members can take advantage of the fitness center and the spa (see below).

What does it mean to be vulnerable? It’s not about being weak or dramatic. It’s about being real. Telling the truth about how you feel, even when it’s uncomfortable. Taking off the mask you think you have to wear. Most of us learn to hide certain parts of ourselves because we’re afraid of not being accepted, or of being judged or disliked. We keep things in to avoid looking messy or imperfect. But that distance can leave us feeling alone, even with people close to us. It can make relationships feel strained or shallow. It can weigh on our self-esteem, and show up as self-betrayal, frustration, or regret. In this Breathe in Paris session, Susan Oubari will create a safe, welcoming space to explore what vulnerability means for you. Using meditation, journaling, Reiki, and Breathwork, we’ll slow down together so you can notice what you’re carrying behind the mask (or masks) you wear. This isn’t about forcing anything or trying to fix yourself. It’s about meeting yourself with honesty and care. When we allow ourselves to be seen as we truly are, something can soften and shift. Come as you are. No expectations. Just an invitation to be real—and perhaps to discover how that honesty can open new possibilities, both within you and in the way you meet the world.
DO YOU KNOW THE POWER OF THE BREATH?
Most of us aren’t taking the full, deep breaths we’re capable of. We’re not using our lungs to their full capacity. Without enough oxygen, we’re at risk of issues like fatigue, anxiety, dis-ease, health complications, and even stress on our hearts. These issues, which are most often based on fears, are like negative energetic blocks, walls and barriers that are holding us back from stepping into our full potential. That’s where Breathwork comes in.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS SESSION :
Breathwork is a powerful process of exploration, healing and personal growth. It can lead to an intense physical and emotional release. Be aware that old traumas or pent-up feelings may come to surface, and it’s not always comfortable. This is part of the healing process. My intention with Breathe in Paris is to create a safe space where you can learn to use your breath to release these blockages. In a session, some people cry, others laugh, express themselves... Be prepared for loud music, screaming, tears… and being cozy and close-up to your neighbors in order to enhance the group energy flow. It is an intense experience!
THE FLOW OF THE SESSION :
During the first half of this 3-hour session, I will connect you to your breath while introducing the spontaneous “theme of the day” and the Four Pillars of Breathe in Paris : Meditation, Reiki, Coaching and Breathwork. With humor and scientific facts, I will explain the Breathwork technique, what you can expect, and why it's so important to breathe correctly.
The second half of the session will be spent lying on your back with a mask covering your eyes (bring your own or buy one from me for 5€ cash only) as I guide you through the Breathwork session based on the theme. This is when the volume of the music increases and the energy moves around the room. A single session is sometimes enough to create a significant change as Breathwork helps reduce anxiety and stress, better manage emotions, improve the digestive system and physical performance.
Breathwork is purely experiential and no two sessions are alike. Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone and you just may emerge transformed.
Please note that this class is for beginners and experts, but Breathwork is not recommended for certain people, see below.

The first half of the session will be seated as I guide you through some breathing meditations and inspiring teachings, and then as I teach you the Breathwork technique. The second half of the workshop will be spent lying down.
Please wear comfortable clothing, including layers like sweaters and socks, and bring an extra blanket if you tend to get cold.
Breathwork is more effective on an empty stomach, so it's best to avoid eating within two hours.
Bring an eye mask. If you don't have one, Breathe in Paris sells them on site for 5€ each - cash only, no credit cards. Breathwork should be done with the eyes covered!
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the session starts, and don't have any commitments immediately after the session (I always go over schedule and at the end you can also stay and chat… and get a hug from me!)
Please don't arrive late to avoid disrupting the class.
Cancellation Policy (see below) : The number of places is limited, so please let us know in advance if you cannot come. Rescheduling or cancellation with refund is possible up to 24 hours before the session (otherwise the session will be charged).

FOR NON-MEMBERS, COME AND DISCOVER THE CLUB :
Come from 13h00 onwards and take advantage of this state of the art gym before the Breathwork session. You get full access to weight equipment, cardio machines, hammans and saunas (except group classes). Locker rooms are available with showers and towels.
PRECAUTIONS AND CONTREINDICATIONS :
The Breathwork I teach is an abbreviated form of Holotropic® Breathwork called Two-Stage Pranayama. It is a powerful experience combining physical intensity and emotional release. It can be compared to a high-intensity workout and may bring up deep or unexpected sensations.
Breathwork is not recommended for people with :
A cold, sore throat, fever or nausea : your body needs rest and healing, not stimulation. You may also be contagious and unable to fully benefit from the session.
Cardiovascular issues such as hypertension (high blood pressure), angina, or a history of heart attack : Breathwork can raise heart rate and blood pressure, putting strain on the system.
A personal or family history of aneurysms : temporary increases in blood pressure could be risky.
Glaucoma or retinal detachment : changes in breathing and pressure can impact eye health.
Advanced osteoporosis : altered blood chemistry may affect calcium levels and bone strength.
Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s or multiple sclerosis : muscle cramping and nerve sensitivity (called tetany) may be heightened.
Seizure disorders or severe mental illness : the altered state of consciousness may be destabilizing.
Recent major surgery or significant injuries : Breathwork adds physical stress that may interfere with recovery. Waiting at least two months is advised.
Pregnancy : not recommended at any stage due to intensity and shifts in blood flow.

You can still attend a Breathwork session with me if :
You have asthma : just bring your inhaler and let me know before class.
You have a history of panic attacks : while some sensations may feel familiar, the environment is safe and guided. Many find it empowering.
You’re menstruating : yes, you can absolutely come.
You’re trying to conceive : Breathwork is safe if you’re trying to get pregnant. However, it is not recommended during pregnancy.
CANCELLATION POLICY :
Early Cancellation (More than 24 hours before class) : If you can't attend and it’s more than 24 hours before the class, you can cancel and receive a refund. Click the blue "CANCEL APPOINTMENT" button in your confirmation email to make the changes. If you cancel, I'll process the refund, and you will receive an email receipt. Please allow 5-7 working days for the refund to appear on your credit card.
Late Cancellation : If you cancel within 24 hours of the session, no refund will be given. However, please still notify me in advance by emailing susan@susanoubari.com. This helps us offer your spot to someone on the waiting list and prevents the group from waiting with an unoccupied mat.
